18 Mar Torbay Community Helpline invites local residents to join their volunteer family

Torbay Community Helpline is inviting local residents to learn more about the powerful impact of volunteering — and to celebrate the incredible people who already give their time to support our community.

As part of our ongoing work to strengthen connections and provide vital support across Torbay, we are delighted to be hosting a special Easter‑themed Coffee Morning on Wednesday 15th April, from 10am to 12 noon at the beautiful People’s Parkfield (Parkfield House, just off Paignton Green)

This free event is not only a thank you to our wonderful existing volunteers, but also an open invitation to anyone who may be curious about getting involved.

The Torbay Community Helpline offers emotional support, practical guidance, signposting, and a listening ear to people across the Bay. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring that no one feels isolated or unsupported.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds — whether you have a few hours a week or would simply like to know more about what we do. Full training is provided, and volunteers quickly become part of a warm, supportive team.

Our Easter Coffee Morning will feature free refreshments, themed treats, friendly conversation, and the chance to speak directly with staff and volunteers. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering but weren’t sure where to start, this is the perfect opportunity to drop in, ask questions, and meet the people behind the Helpline.

Everyone is welcome, and no booking is required. Please note, however, there is limited onsite parking.
