NEW FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR ORGANISATIONS SUPPORTING THOSE AFFECTED BY THE COST-OF-LIVING CRISIS!

Devon Voluntary Action is thrilled to announce that, delivered in partnership with OneDevon and working with local partners across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay, we will be facilitating a grant award process for voluntary organisations that support people who have been disproportionately affected by the cost-of-living crisis.

Organisations interested in receiving grants are now able to bid for between £500 and £10,000 to support their work. While applications can be made for up to £10,000, there is a benefit to our community for the funds to be spread across as many areas of need as possible, so we do encourage smaller grant applications.

In their bids, organisations must be able to demonstrate how their work will support those affected by the cost-of-living crisis, that they have a clear plan of how their grant will be spent, and that the amount they claim will not exceed the amount allocated to them. Groups also must not already be receiving funding for their undertakings elsewhere.

Once submitted, each group’s application will be assessed to verify that it meets the above criteria. The assessment processes for bids are as follows:

  • Applications for grants of under £5,000 will be assessed and awarded locally in Torbay
  • Applications for grants of £5,000 plus will be assessed by a panel comprising of voluntary organisations from across Devon and facilitated by Devon Communities Together

The deadline for applications is 31st January initially, and then 28th February if funds allow.

All organisations that make successful bids are required to report back on how the grant fund has been spent and what difference it has made. We expect all projects funded to be able to have started activities by 31st March 2023.
