Imagine This… newsletter, Autumn 2023 edition

The Imagine This Youth Council wanted to take a moment to update everyone on all the brilliant things that have been happening recently.

Firstly, we want to thank our partners for your continued support and involvement. So many people have been working hard to make things happen, and we’re excited to share some recent developments with you.

This is the launch of our new seasonal newsletters. You can read the first, Autumn 2023 edition newsletter by downloading a PDF copy here.

Finally, Christmas is fast approaching! We’d love to hear about your Christmas plans, send us information about activities and photos to [email protected], so we can celebrate them. We will also be in touch about an advent collaboration soon!

Warm wishes,

The Imagine This… Council

FULLY FUNDED – SaFest 2023 On-line Safeguarding Conference

20th November to 24th November 2023

The Devon Children Safeguarding Partnership (DevonSCP), working closely with our Devon County Council social care colleagues and multi-agency partners is once again hosting our annual week-long safeguarding conference. We’ve been working hard since May this year to put together an exciting and interesting online conference, suitable for anyone who works with children, young people and families.

Nick Meller, REACH, Tina Ley, Turnaround Team, Louise Barraclough, SARC and Anna Garrard, Family Practitioner, as part of the SaFest 2023 working group, have been paramount in organising speakers, co-ordinating the timetable, getting the information together for this programme, producing the flyers and timetable as well as the new SaFest logo.

Thanks to the persuasive powers of Nick we are able to offer fully funded places. This is because Nick has persuaded and cajoled keynote speakers and presenters to present for free or just charge a very small fee; they recognise the importance of being able to disseminate their knowledge, expertise and research to our hard-working multi-agency practitioners.  They have also wanted very much to be involved, due to the success of our last three SaFest conferences.

Click on SaFest 2023 – book your place and see what’s on.

Please feel free to forward this email on to anyone you think would be interested in attending.  We are sharing wide and far, including our colleagues in Torbay, Plymouth, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
