Easter comes early for nursery pupils and retirement home residents in Torquay

EASTER came early for these three and four-year-olds from the Orchard Nursery at the Shiphay Learning Academy when they joined the residents of nearby Kenneth Court for an egg hunt.

Unfortunately, the weather meant that the hunt had to take place indoors, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the tots, who uncovered dozens of chocolate treats before reading to the residents from their books.

Torbay Communities’ Community Builder for Shiphay, Marina Zapata, helped organise the event: “It was a delight to see the smiles on the faces of old and young alike.”
