17 Oct Brixham’s picturesque views

As always, new and exciting things are happening here in Brixham!  Claire Jo Harmer of the Cabbage Tree Studio, created the ‘Picturesque Torbay’ project and has been working in collaboration with ‘A Kick up the Arts’ gallery on Bolton Street, to bring us the ‘Turner Takeover!’.  Famous artist ‘Turner’, painted a ‘View of Torbay from Brixham’.  Claire is giving the people of Torbay, the chance to get outside, see the view, and sketch, draw or paint it.  She would love more people to have a go!  Works will be exhibited at the art gallery in November.  This is a FREE fantastic opportunity to try something different.  More information at www.cabbagetreestudio.com/picturesquetorbay or call Claire on 01803341041.

Another stunning mural has appeared on Apters Hill, on Middle Street, thanks to ‘Brixham Future’ for commissioning Neil from ‘Sacredart Murals’ using the ticket sales from the Brixham Lottery Cards.  The Brixham Lottery funds great local projects like these murals, so when you are next in Brixham, please do support this brilliant community project funder.  www.brixhamwalks.org have a route you can follow to see all the incredible murals in Brixham.
