Torbay Council grants awards of up to £2,500 to help clubs, groups and activity providers to widen their provision by offering new sessions for groups of participants that wouldn’t normally join. Back to Sport 2 has a brand new inclusivity focus, with a  commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of those residents who wouldn’t normally turn to physical activity and sport as a means to improving their overall wellbeing. Funds are available for project costs such as facility hire and coaching, as well as for small capital improvements. An Activity Delivery award could include financial help hosting an event, activity or performance, or perhaps setting up a pilot project or starting up a new group. The priority will be supporting projects working with people from our disadvantaged communities. A disadvantaged community can be a community facing socio-economic disadvantage, but it also recognises those groups of people; women and girls; people with multiple needs; who may also face disadvantages when looking at physical activity and sporting opportunities.

Deadline: Applications will be considered on a monthly basis by a panel led by Sport Torbay.
