The Natural History Museum are leading on the Department for Education £15 million grant for eligible schools to support young people in getting outdoors and learning about the natural world. The website has a range of resources that would be useful for other groups to enable young people to take action on biodiversity. The funding can be used to:

 

  • buy equipment or teaching tools, such as acoustic listening devices
  • help with the purchase of outdoor equipment and clothing
  • create outdoor teaching areas
  • provide accessible routes to nature in schools for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities

 

The eligible schools in Torbay are:

 

  • Combe Pafford School
  • Upton St James CofE Primary School
  • St Michael’s Church of England Academy
  • St Marychurch Church of England Primary and Nursery School
  • Hayes School
  • Ellacombe Church of England Academy
  • Curledge Street Academy
